Mike and Sabrina Bilek May 7, 2011

April showers bring May flowers. Sabrina must have heard this saying before, because she picked the most beautiful flower filled month to be married in. There is nothing mellow about this yellow. So bold and vibrant, you just can't help but smile.

How cute are these mugs with the Bride and groom's initials? I bet they will venture back to this special day every morning while sipping on their AM pick me up. The mugs made for a creative display on the guest book table. Speaking of the guest book, take a look at Sabrina's smile.

The majestic canyons and green pristine fairways made a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony. It felt and looked like a destination wedding in Hawaii without the expense and the worry of an unexpected warm rain. The arch included myrtle leaves, white roses, yellow roses, white dahlias, yellow ranunculus and yellow tulips. The ailse was also lined in yellow and white lush gutters, to set the scene.

Sabrina's centerpieces were very lovely including white hydrangea, yellow roses, yellow ranunculus, and white dahlias. Green ribbon grass was wrapped on the inside of the vase for that extra little something.

The second set of centerpieces were a trio of a white dahlia, swirled yellow tulips and a floating yellow rose again over the ribbon grass wrapped on the inside of the vase.

We were very pleased with the turn out of the bouquets as well, hopefully a few pictures will follow. I hope you enjoyed checking out the NOT Mellow Yellow wedding of Sabrina and Mike Bilek. Please visit our blog again soon!

Cyndy Lee in Orange Blue and Green

Welcome back Bella Blooms Blog followers!
Is it just me? Or has the weather in Southern California been having major mood swings? One day it is raining and the next it's super hot and sunny. It may sound like I am complaining when in fact I am overly excited about the flowers for this spring. Flowers need water and sun with a little TLC to bloom beautifully, which makes our job that much easier!

Fortunately for Cyndy Lee the weather has been consistently crazy beginning with the winter. The January 22nd wedding was bright and sunny, blue skies and green landscaping. A perfect day for committing to spend the rest of her life with her soul mate.

Surrounded by her besties, Cyndy gleamed holding her bouquet of two toned circus roses, orange ranunculus, lush blue hydrangea and green hypericum berries matching the elements of the outdoors to a "T".

Special thanks to Troy Grover Photography for doing such an amazing job capturing the natural beauty of the flowers, showcasing Cyndy's bouquet in the twinkling surroundings of The Hills Hotel.

The Hills Hotel in Laguna Hills (right off of the 5 and La Paz) has recently been taken over by new owners. They have whipped this hotel into shape. Gorgeous chandeliers, modern lounge area, high tech TVs and a huge bar stocked with your faves and free valet parking. I recommend this venue for anyone looking to party in a not so traditional hotel setting.

We are looking forward to the postings to come. We have done some fabulous events over the last couple of months. You will be inclined to check us out! - Melanie and Leanna

Beach Blooms

Welcome back friends to our world filled with beauty and creativity, where we are blessed to enhance the wedding a daydreaming girl, turned blushing bride has dreamt about as far back as she can remember.

Here we are at the luxurious Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach in October 2010 for an Oceanfront ceremony. Ynhu Tran; the alluring bride and her soon to be husband were framed by a handmade canopy of palm branches adorned with fuchsia Mokara Orchids, pink Cymbidium Orchids and Ginger.
Special thanks to Nicole Caldwell photography for encasing this tranquil scene on this perfect wedding day!

You know when you are just "having one of those days" and you miss the stress less day of being a kid? Thinking back on some of my favorite things, running through the sprinklers with my sister, doing somersaults down a hill.... OR how about digging my teeth into a delicious cupcake topped with sugary frosting! I believe Ynhu may still be a kid at heart, and wanted her guests to feel the same way with her cupcake tier of sweet goodness. Bella Blooms helped out by providing the glass tiers and clear columns filled with ribbon grass to add a bit of the tropical feel of the event.

What can make the day feel more real than being handed the bouquet you once only could imagine? Ynhu dreamt in the colors of fuchsia, greens and pinks and we brought it to life in Dahlias, Gloriosa Lilies, Cymbidium Orchids, Ranunculus, Mexican Hydrangea, Ti leaves, Coxcomb and Pin Cushions for the ultimate tropical wedding bouquet with a modern twist.

The exquisite terrace was full of vibrant color and style presented in the form of bouquets and in the palm canopy framing the bride and groom with the ocean as the ultimate backdrop. The party travels inside to the elegant ballroom for the perfect location to celebrate! The tables set with lighthearted centerpieces of sand, water and blooms to add just a pop of color and tropical scent. Half of the centerpieces were of submerged Mokara Orchids, Gloriosa Lilies, and Pin Cushions. The second half to add variety were of submerged ribbon grass, and a floating candle surrounded by a wreath of tropical leaves and blooms.

Thank you all for checking in to see what we have been up to. We are super excited to be sharing all of our hard yet fun work with our friends, family and net workers. Til' next time....

We're in Print!

Please welcome Bella Blooms A Floral Design Studio to the world of blogging. I am a bit nervous about this new endeavor but up for the challenge too.

I am going to begin this blog journey by announcing our 4 page spread in Ceremony magazine 2010 Los Angeles addition. Thanks to our friends at Sargeant Photography and their amazing eye for capturing beauty so eloquently! We are blessed to be working side by side with such talent. Please visit their website and tell your friends http://www.sargeantphotography.com/

We are proud that our designs are in 13 of the 17 pictures featured in this issue.

Shortly after hearing this fabulous news, we were told that yet again we have another page in Ceremony. This time in the Orange County Weddings and Events 2011 addition. The bride is so beautiful, so it couldn't have been too difficult for Sargeant Photography to capture amazing pics, and without a doubt they definitely did!
